What is YTMP3?

YTMP3 is a browser tool that reads a YouTube link, extracts the audio stream and encodes it to MP3. It runs on our server, so your phone or PC installs nothing. The same link also gives you M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, OPUS and MP4.

How to use the YT MP3 converter

1. Copy the link from the YouTube app or address bar.
2. Paste it in the box and press Convert.
3. Pick a bitrate, then press Download MP3.

Choosing an MP3 bitrate

Bitrate sets file size, and it can only preserve what the source holds. YouTube audio is usually Opus near 160 kbps or AAC near 128 kbps, so 320 kbps makes a bigger file without restoring lost detail. 192 kbps suits most music.

Supported link types

Each link converts one video. Private and removed videos cannot be read.

If a download fails

• Remove extra parts of a shared link, such as a playlist parameter.
• Open the video in a private window. If it asks you to sign in, we cannot read it either.
• On iPhone, look in Files > Downloads, not in the Music app.

Is YTMP3 free?

Yes. There is no account and no paid tier.

What is the best quality?

320 kbps is the largest MP3. M4A or OPUS can stay closer to the source because they skip the MP3 encode when the format matches.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It works in Safari and Chrome. iOS keeps files in the Files app, and Android keeps them in Downloads.

Is it legal to convert YouTube to MP3?

It depends on your country and on the video's rights. Convert your own uploads, Creative Commons videos or content you have permission to save.
